Why this made the list
Most thin-and-light laptops make a trade somewhere: a dim screen, a slow chip, or not enough storage to actually live on. This one is built to not make that trade, an OLED touchscreen, a genuinely fast Core Ultra 7 chip, and enough RAM and SSD space to skip the usual mid-life storage panic.
What it actually does
The 14-inch OLED panel is the standout, deep blacks and accurate color that make photo work, video, and just regular browsing look noticeably better than an LCD screen at this size. Copilot+ certification means it's built around the newer on-device AI features Microsoft is rolling into Windows, and the 32GB of RAM keeps things smooth with a lot of browser tabs and apps open at once. The touchscreen adds real utility for quick scrolling or sketching without feeling gimmicky.
Who this is actually for
Anyone doing daily work that benefits from screen quality, writing, spreadsheets, photo or light video review, video calls, who also wants a laptop that won't feel dated in three years thanks to the RAM and storage headroom. It's overkill for someone who just needs email and a browser.
What to weigh before buying
- OLED panels are excellent for contrast and color but historically drain battery faster than LCD under heavy brightness. Expect solid, not class-leading, battery life.
- The price sits well above budget thin-and-lights. The screen and specs justify it, but it's a real premium.
- Copilot+ features are still rolling out. Some of the AI capability being marketed is more future-facing than immediately useful today.
The verdict
A genuinely strong daily driver. The screen alone makes it feel like a step up from a typical 14-inch laptop, and the specs mean it won't need replacing just because RAM or storage ran out.
